Mission & History

Our mission is to teach students the creative process and empower them with the skills needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.

CTAIC is an organization that is fundamentally for the benefit of young people through the implementation of DI in CT. As such it is vitally important that all involved, adults with official roles, parents and participants understand, respect and behave according to our code of ethics.

First and foremost all participants must always act in a civil and respectful manner towards each other, all property and the work of others.

All participants must communicate in an honest, civil and respectful way; both in spoken and written word.

All rules of DI as set forth in Rules of the Road must be followed both in letter and in spirit, in particular the rules regarding interference.

Competition must be understood as a tool of the DI process and not the goal. Participants must never sacrifice ethical behavior in the pursuit of winning, for then the competition becomes destructive. Our goal is learning, inspiration and the evolution of imagination in each of us.
